Auxiliary Temperature Inputs
The ECU has two generic temperature inputs, AuxTemp1 and AuxTemp2. They use the same three-point thermistor model as CLT and IAT but have no linear or pull-down option in this revision. Open Sensors > AuxTemp1 sensor or AuxTemp2 sensor, assign an analog temperature input, set the board bias resistance, and enter three temperature/resistance pairs (aux-temperature dialog).
Coolant Temperature
Coolant temperature (CLT) is used by idle target and correction tables, cranking and warm-up fuel, coolant timing correction, fan control, coolant-based limits, and charge-temperature estimation. A valid calibration therefore affects far more than the temperature gauge.
Intake Air Temperature
Intake air temperature (IAT) supplies the intake-air temperature used by the airmass model and available fuel and ignition corrections. Fit it where the selected airmass strategy expects the measurement; a post-heat-soak location can read hotter than the air reaching the cylinders.
