On/Off VVT control
Capoworks ECU enables VVT control only when several arming conditions are met. When any condition is not met, the VVT output is held at zero duty and the PID integrator is reset so it does not accumulate while control is inhibited.
VVT PID Control
Capoworks VVT control combines a temperature-indexed hold-duty curve with a position PID. There is no separate closed-loop enable: when the target and measured angle are valid, the controller computes the PID result, adds the hold curve, compensates duty for battery voltage, and applies the final output limits.
VVT Target Tables
Capoworks provides one 8 x 8 intake target table and one 8 x 8 exhaust target table. Intake controllers on both banks share the intake table, and exhaust controllers share the exhaust table. The table value is the requested decoder-relative VVT angle; RPM is one axis and an independently selectable load source is the other.
